Ep. 3: DEH ABROAD: Connecting & Enabling the Caribbean Diaspora w/ Dominic Christopher

As an immigrant & student in the United States, Dominic saw the need to combine technology and innovation to build a stronger Caribbean community.

Dominic, along with his business partner, created an information portal to provide information and resources for the Caribbean #diaspora. Deh Abroad Village now hosts some 900 business listings, some of which also offer mentorship and internships for Caribbean students in the US. On a drive to expand this offering to cities with large Caribbean diasporas, Dominic speaks to us about his passion and thrust to connect & enable the Caribbean Diaspora.

A MONOLOGUE about SELF-TALK

Inspired by Sheryl Lee Ralph’s Ted Talk about BELIEVING IN YOURSELF.

Her charge to the audience to reframe how we think about ourselves, see ourselves, and treat ourselves resonated with me. As such, I’d like to implore anyone and everyone reading this post and listening to this episode to pour the same thought, support, and motivation into yourself as you do in others. One way to achieve that is by having consistent, continuous, and worthwhile conversations with yourself.
